Multiculturalism and the Deaf

$10.00

by Evelyne Gounetenzi (1999)

This project examines the challenges facing Deaf people who are members of a racial-ethnic minority. The challenges faced by hearing minority groups are well-known, but the Deaf face two issues: they are members of a minority group because of their race or ethnicity, and they are also Deaf. Where do they get support to keep their culture, and how do they integrate to the Deaf community? These are the main questions that need to be answered. (51 pages)
